Dion Snowshoes of Vermont

Made in Vermont - Sold in Simsbury

Dion is not like other snowshoe companies. They design, build and use the product!

Company founder Bob Dion is a competetive snowshoe racer. He is listed as one of the "10 Legends of Trail Running" by TrailRunner magazine.

Denise Dion is also a competitive snowshoe racer with gold and silver medals at Nationals.
This means that people who use the product are the ones making it and standing behind it.
They know snowshoes.

What makes Dion Snowshoes so “special”?

Designed, built & used by Snowshoe Racers & Hikers, these tough, lightweight snowshoes are comfortable to wear and can adapt to a wide variety of terrain and snow conditions. Just a quick turn with a screw driver and all the parts can be changed in seconds! The modular design allows you to create the perfect combination of components to suit the conditions. You can easily replace worn parts or upgrade without having to buy an entirely new snowshoe.

Our exclusive blend of performance, durability, and comfort is found in every snowshoe model we offer. Innovative design with quality materials and craftsmanship.

What are the benefits of owning a pair?

-No need for WOMENS MODELS. Our frames are the narrowest on the market. Men, Women and Kids ALL want to run and walk with a natural stride!

- YOU decide which Frame, Binding and Cleats works best for you.

- No more "one size fits all". Even the straps are interchangeable.

- Our modular system provides a “custom-fit” and can adapt to changes in terrain or snow conditions in seconds !

- The interchangeable Frames, Bindings and Cleats can eliminate the need to purchase a 2nd pair snowshoes.

- Replaceable parts allow our customers to maintain their snowshoes instead of purchasing a brand new pair.

- Our durable, hand-bent, aircraft aluminum frames are light, flexible, and are fitted with wear resistant decking.

- Ergonomically designed, teflon coated cleats will allow your foot to move naturally and help repel sticky snow.

- Our comfortable bindings accurately control the position of your snowshoe... No more "banged" up ankles!

Snow shoeing is the perfect winter activity. The whole family can do it!

Snow shoeing provides a healthy aerobic activity for people of all ages to participate in during a time of year when options are sometimes few and far between. Snow shoeing also allows for a chance to enjoy the outdoors in the winter alone or with family and friends.
Snow shoeing is considered a low impact sport in that the risk of injury is low. The snow provides a natural cushion and the mechanics of snow shoeing are very similar to walking or hiking.
One of the great things about snow shoeing is that you can go anywhere you can find snow.
Snowshoe equipment is inexpensive and you do not need a lift ticket to get out and enjoy the sport. Forests, State Parks, Ski Centers and Golf Courses are all great places to snowshoe. Longer snowshoe walks will help to build overall strength, endurance and balance. Using poles during snow shoeing will also help to build upper body strength.
